Job Title: Workshop Supervisor Commercial Consultants UK Ltd
Description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Supervisor.

The successful Workshop Supervisor MUST have DIESEL ENGINE experience.

The aim of the job is for the successful Workshop Supervisor to:

Ensure that all work carried out in the workshops meets the necessary quality standards

The role includes:

- Control the safe and effective deployment of the resources, tooling and space in workshop unit 29 & 27.
- Component overhauls in co-ordination with After-Sales department
- Rail power pack overhaul and testing.
- Control the use of and maintain the availability of the test facility.
- Guiding and instructing Workshop employees, deploying employees according to their qualifications.
- Monitor and review Workshop employees` performance and quality output. Identify and arrange training as required.
- Support the Workshop employees` in improving their work processes.
- Analyse deficiencies, damaged parts and implement preventative measures to ensure that quality standards are met at all times.
- Assist the Service Manager - Workshop / Dealer Network with capacity planning and ensuring that repaired or maintained equipment is returned to customers according to the agreed time-frame.
- Assist the Parts Manager in spare part`s stock-takes.
- To be a member of the H&S Committee with respect to workshop and warehouse areas. Additionally, to ensure that H&S requirements are met in the workshops.
- Discuss risk assessment findings with the HSQE Officer.
- Daily inspections of the workshops and yard areas to be conducted.
- Liaise with third party inspection authority in regards to safety inspections of the equipment.
- Monitor the safe storage and expiry dates of all COSHH items and products.
- Ensure that all workshop equipment is used and maintained as required.
- Check quality and quantity of all PPE (individual`s and stock).
- To monitor, control and develop the Quality Management regime as implemented in the workshop areas by the Company.
- To conduct the annual appraisals for the Workshop Engineers

This is a permanent role for the successful diesel engine workshop supervisor.
