Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer Commercial Consultants UK Ltd
Description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer.

Our client carry out a number of engineering designs for marine handling systems for ship and submarine applications.

The daily tasks and responsibilities for the successful Quality Assurance Engineer include:

- Being responsible for the supervision of all Inspection personnel and the maintenance and improvement of the company`s Quality System.
- Providing quality engineering project support and assist in company-wide improvement initiatives and activities.
- Working closely with the Planning and Production Engineering departments to ensure that all objectives set for the Inspection Department are achieved.
- Being the prime QA point of contact for management with inspection related issues.
- Undertaking process, system and product audits (FCA/PCA) both internally and at suppliers` premises ensuring compliance to all company requirements and international production standards.
- Establishing product standard and quality requirements for minor projects and manage the resultant ongoing QA process.

--- Acting as a key member of the QA Team, supporting quality improvement initiatives and process measurement within the department.

Ideal Quality Assurance Engineer candidates must:

- Have a minimum HNC trained (ideally HND) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Have a good knowledge of ISO 9001 and modern quality practices.
- Be experienced (5 years minimum) in a Quality Engineering role and be a registered (trained) Quality Auditor.
- Have good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
- Have good level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to persuade and influence people.
- Have good organisational skills.
- Be able to prioritise effectively and complete tasks to deadline.
- Be able to effectively lead/participate in Problem Solving Teams.
- Have experience in the defence/marine sector, a significant advantage with knowledge of American Military, MoD and European standards.
- Be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
- Be adaptable, receptive to new ideas and prepared to learn new skills and be interested in self-development within the role.
- Be able to work effectively under pressure.

This is a permanent role for the ideal Quality Assurance Engineer, with a salary of between £27,000 and £32, 000 per annum, depending upon experience.
